So Close but So Far
I have always observe the same everyday actions within different cultures. The atmosphere captured in a picture is just as valuable as the acts taking place, and through the depiction of these universal acts I show the true personal identity of the places I visit.
‘So Close but So Far’ is a collection of photographs mostly taken in Manchester (UK) and Chennai (South India).
My images are of everyday moments in regular lives; these are common to the human experience, and for this reason they deserve to be shown to a wider audience. A man buying an ice-cream, a woman on a bus, a man sitting on his doorstep or a grandmother crossing the road, all take place across the world, but in these images you can read more than just this, they are soaked with the charm of the city in which they occur.
