Amanida de Flors
Every year for the past 62 years Girona (Catalonia, Spain) has hosted the renowned flower festival "Temps de Flors”.
For the 2016 festival I created a print inspired by a flower salad, full of edible flowers bringing different qualities and flavours to typical salad ingredients; such as lettuce, carrots, pine nuts, mandarin, olives, cucumber, radish, raisins and a lemony honey vinaigrette dressing.
The artwork was exhibited along side the installation I created, the composition of which was inspired by the print itself. Each ingredient was symbolised three-dimensionally in one way or another, every one featuring in the space that visitors could enter and place themselves alongside the ingredients.
